What's the hurry?

We’re all busy. So busy, in fact, that we blow right through opportunities to live life.

Do you ever feel like you’re just racing right through your days? I often do. And for what? Not to be crude, but the finish line is our death bed. What’s the rush?

We’ve bought into the lie that busy means productive. In reality, filling every minute and blasting through our days means we miss out on valuable opportunities to develop into our best selves.

This week, we’re going to change that.

I challenge you to continue your gratitude reflections and add just 10 minutes of complete and total solitude. Not daily, just at some point this week.

When we stop, take pause, and allow ourselves to fill the silence with more silence, even just for a few moments, we are able to restore and strengthen the bonds that connect our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual selves. Aligning these elements of ourselves gives us enhanced perspective and appreciation for who we are and who we want to become.

Don’t use this time to think through problems, or to scroll social media, or clean the bathroom when you intended to soak in the tub. Treat these moments as sacred opportunities to let your soul – the deepest part of you – refresh.
